I just wanted to let you all know I've been working very hard at doing reviews and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I love to read and I love to write so putting them together is the perfect job for me! Also, I took my self-published book, The Reluctant Vampire and added to the website called Smashwords. There, they pass your book around to all the big seller companies and do their own reviews so hopefully I'll get more buyers than on lulu but you'll still be able to purchase it on either site. The new site to purchase it is www.smashwords.com/books/view/28092 and I made it $2 cheaper on there! I'm still working on The Vampire Queen with the publishing house it's just that they are taking their good old sweet time and I'm getting antsy so I'm trying to find things to keep me busy. Been on kind of a writing dry spell for a couple weeks too. DON'T FORGET! Tomorrow is my author day at www.tonyasramblings.com so you will get to see my work there all day long so check back frequently. TTFN!
So, I signed up to do book reviews with You Gotta Read and last night I got my first assignment. The book was so good I read the entire thing in one night and wrote the review. It was really great! I felt a great sense of accomplishment, got to actually sit down and read something (compared to just mindlessly browsing the internet) and help out a fellow author. Unfortunately, the book has already been printed and is available online so I'm not sure how they're going to use my review but I had fun doing it. Of course, the subject matter was vampires and paranormal activity with a strong female heroine. That's totally me! I'm so excited and can't wait to do my next one!
Well, I got news in the beginning of September that Eternal Press wants to publish my two part series The Vampire Queen and the first installment is due out April 2011. The contracts have been signed and now we're just waiting on editing and cover art at this point but it's the waiting that's killing me! Agh! I feel like time is moving so slowly in my writing life but in my personal life, time is just flying by. Hubby just got out of the hospital and we nearly lost him. It was so rough and I didn't know how I was going to get through it but I had to do it and be strong for him. He's still not doing well and has to see the doc again soon so hopefully we'll get it figured out soon. I'm hearing about people getting publishing deals after me with release dates before me so I'm a little frustrated and confused. I know. Confused? Me? Naaaaaah. Yep, it's true. I am going to be featured on a fellow author's blog the end of October, the 27th to be exact and am very excited about that. I have about five different things to post about Halloween on her website. Follow me there at www.tonyasramblings.blogspot.com Hope to see you all there!
The Vampire Queen Herself!
I've met the 2 goals I've set in my life. Marry the man of my dreams and publish my writing. Both have come true within a year of each other! Life is like a dream!
